The author, Prof. Dr. Matthias Beck, a renowned expert in the field of sonography and shock waves, received his doctorate in anatomy from the Moscow State University in 2003 and has been head of the Transfer Institute for Clinical Anatomy at Steinbeis University Berlin (SHB) since 2005.
